LIS secures its own skilled workforce
LIS Logistische Informationssysteme GmbH welcomed six new trainees to its Greven headquarters on August 1. The welcome program included an introduction to the company, a tour of the company headquarters and lunch together before the new recruits got to know their departments. The company employs a total of 14 trainees and five dual students.
"Once again this year, we were able to award all six training places to motivated and qualified junior staff. At a time when many companies are still facing the challenge of a shortage of skilled workers, we are proud of LIS's good reputation," says Markus Berkemeier, COO of LIS Logistische Informationssysteme GmbH. The software developer is regarded as a future-oriented and attractive employer in the region. "It is the rule rather than the exception for us to take on trainees after they graduate. We are therefore confident that we will be able to cover our demand for skilled workers with our own junior staff in the new year," says Berkemeier.
The trainees got to know their new colleagues in their future departments. Many of the employees also started their careers as trainees at the software company. "Many of our IT experts have remained loyal to us since they started their careers. We want to continue to develop our trainees into highly qualified and long-term employees in the future," says Berkemeier. LIS trainees have also received awards from the IHK Nord Westfalen in recent years.
