Software
Better coordination of mobile robot fleets
Omron, provider of industrial robotics and automation solutions, announces the release of the new Fleet Operations Workspace (Flow) Core 4.0 software. This platform enables companies to extend the capabilities of LD, MD and HD series autonomous mobile robots (AMR), simplify their integration and optimize fleet management.
The Flow Core software suite supports the coordination of order assignments and loading plans, strategic navigation and traffic control as well as seamless integration with IT and OT systems such as MES, ERP or WMS.
The most important new features at a glance:
- Omron Fleet Manager, a software for the management of AMR fleets, has been redesigned for use on hypervisor platforms. This virtualization software enables the creation and management of virtual machines for a secure and flexible IT infrastructure. Fleet resources can be scaled according to application needs. Companies benefit from options for higher availability, fault tolerance and uninterrupted operation.
- With Omron's sensor options, the new Flow Core 4.0 software supports all AMR models with 3D LiDAR. The new version includes software tools for customizable docking strategies and application-specific loading routines.
- With the Flow iQ data analysis package, users can visualize and monitor the layout of the wireless infrastructure from the robot's perspective. Dynamic wireless network diagnostics enable the convergence of IT and OT and accelerate the deployment of the AMR fleet and the resolution of WiFi problems.
- MobilePlanner 8, OMRON's user interface for application development, increases automation productivity with a new 2D shape editor for code-free definition of CAPS target and robot shapes.
