Drag chain V-Chain cleans up
Schmalz is expanding its portfolio for its flat crane boom and saving additional space: the new V-Chain packs the hose package of the vacuum supply into a drag chain. This makes hanging loops a thing of the past, so that forklift trucks can also drive safely under the flat boom.
Every centimeter counts in low rooms. To enable ergonomic working with the help of vacuum lifters, J. Schmalz GmbH has the modular flat jib made of aluminum in its product range. The vacuum experts have now added a new energy supply system to the modular system for the space-saving crane system. Instead of the drag guide, in which the vacuum supply hose laid in loops quickly becomes an obstruction, especially in low spaces, the hose package in the V-Chain is located in a drag chain with a low overall height. With the V-Chain, Schmalz gains around 750 millimetres more usable space underneath the crane jib compared to the drag chain. It is available as an option for Schmalz slewing jib cranes in conjunction with the JumboFlex tube lifter.
