Logistics expert Heinrich Grieshaber receives the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany
On October 24, the former President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Bodensee-Oberschwaben and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grieshaber Logistik GmbH received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon in Weingarten.
In front of around 120 guests from business, administration, science and politics, Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Member of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament and State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Housing, presented the medal on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. Her laudatory speech praised Heinrich Grieshaber's entrepreneurial and charitable commitment as a prime example of a medium-sized entrepreneur. "You are a creator, a doer and have rendered outstanding services to the economy and people," she said. The order honors the ten-year honorary office as President of the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the entrepreneurial work of the logistics expert and the foundation for the training and education of young people that he established together with his wife Gabriele.
The Cross of Merit on Ribbon has been the highest recognition of the Federal Republic of Germany since 1951. The order is awarded to around 70 people on average each year for special services to the common good. Heinrich Grieshaber was honored for his commitment to the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region. There, he has worked with great success for infrastructure projects, commercial areas, securing skilled workers and reducing bureaucracy. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grieshaber Logistik GmbH and owner of the foundation, he continues this commitment with a particular focus on promoting young talent.
