Ferag: Floating filling, sorting and packaging
At FachPack, the Swiss company Ferag AG will be presenting a Skyfall variant for a wide variety of packaging and filling processes. The fully functional system on show in Nuremberg offers a realistic live demonstration of complex buffering and transport tasks such as those involved in filling, sorting, picking and packing silicone cartridges. The highlight of the Swiss overhead conveyor technology: it works on all inclines using only gravity. This means that it requires comparatively few drives. This means that the Skyfall technology is not only very flexible and scalable thanks to its modularity, but also extremely energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The special feature of the system is that it can easily compensate for short-term downtimes and interruptions in the production and filling process.
