The Koch PalletSystemMove is 9.5 square meters in size. It palletizes and depalletizes a wide variety of products on two palletizing stations. Due to its size, it can be moved by pallet truck. Thanks to the height-adjustable infeed, it adapts effortlessly. In addition, Euro pallets, industrial pallets and one-way pallets can be processed in the cell, which further increases its versatility and range of applications.

Increased flexibility thanks to different gripper types

With different gripper types, the system can be individually adapted to the type, size and weight of the packages. Depending on the gripper, payloads of up to 50 kg are possible. There is also the option of equipping the system with automatic slip sheet and layer pad handling as well as an AGV connection. A connection to the customer's ERP system is also possible.

In contrast to the collaborative robots often used in palletizing cells, the industrial robot offers better stability and higher travel speeds, according to the company. This speed is particularly important for companies that want to achieve a high packing rate. According to Koch, a new customer from the packaging industry, for example, is currently palletizing over 600 packages per hour with ease.

Intuitive operation

The system is also equipped with safety zones that regulate the speed of robot operation based on non-contact sensors. Compared to other palletizing cells with cobots, the supplier has opted for a space-saving safety fence and thus not only wants to cover the safety aspect, but also increase the flexibility of the area of application.

Thanks to the intuitive user interface, the robot is easy to operate without the need for time-consuming training. The Koch EasyPallet software tool also enables simple handling at the click of a mouse. It can be used to create different palletizing patterns quickly and easily or to adapt them when changing products.
