50th anniversary: Port meets mainland in Bremen at Roland Umschlag

Roland Umschlagsgesellschaft is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year - reason enough to make a stop in Bremen for the first time with Hafen trifft Festland. The service portfolio of Germany's only deep-water container port in Whilhelmshaven and the universal port group from Lower Saxony with its logistics concepts and handling facilities were also highlighted at the event.

Lecture series: Potentials presented

Christoph Holtkemper began by outlining the development of the CT terminal into a gateway for the North German seaports. The oldest private combined transport terminal in Germany with around 260,000 square meters of space was founded in June 1969 and coordinates up to 42 block trains per week with around 3,750 TEU capacity with its own transport department. Oliver Bergk, General Manager Sales Eurogate, presented Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven with its liner connections and modern superstructure. Timo A. Schön, Managing Director of Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH, outlined the potential of maritime logistics services of the seaport group in the northwest in his presentation.
