"We are continuing to consistently implement our long-term plan to train our specialists ourselves. In light of the company's steady growth in recent years and the acute shortage of skilled workers, this is of strategic importance to us," says Bernd Benneker, Head of Human Resources at Greiwing logistics for you GmbH.

The intensification of employee recruitment through the large-scale personnel campaign "Kannste was, biste was" is also paying off. "This clearly sets us apart from our competitors. We have been receiving noticeably more applications since then," says Benneker. As a result, the logistics service provider was able to increase the number of trainees from 17 in 2017 to 20 this year. The logistics specialist currently employs a total of 56 trainees.

"It is particularly important to us to encourage and challenge young people. That's why we offer our trainees a wide range of development opportunities and long-term career prospects in addition to sound, practice-oriented training," says Benneker. The declared aim is to take on as many successful apprentices as possible. Eight out of ten graduates opted for this path this year. red/ms
