The acquisition is still subject to approval by the German and Austrian competition authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The food logistics company generated sales of around 128 million euros in 2023. The two owners and managing directors of the Brummer Logistics Group, Hans Brummer and Simone Brummer-Leebmann, have decided to focus their business activities on the management and development of real estate, particularly in the logistics sector.

New growth potential through Dachser

"Brummer has been one of the market leaders in food logistics in Austria and southern Germany for many years," say Hans Brummer and Simone Brummer-Leebmann, the previous managing directors and owners of Brummer. "Additional growth potential is opening up under the umbrella of the European Dachser network. We are taking our partnership, which has grown over the years, to the next level. This will strengthen our position in the market in the long term and offer our customers new prospects for cross-border general cargo transportation and contract logistics services. This also creates security and stability for our employees."

In future, Dachser customers will be able to access Brummer's distribution network in southern Germany, Austria and Slovenia. As a full-service logistics provider, Brummer focuses on cross-border transport, warehousing and contract logistics services for foodstuffs between Germany, Austria and neighboring countries. Brummer covers all temperature ranges, including the deep-freeze range below -18 degrees Celsius. In addition, Brummer also offers logistics solutions for retail and industrial customers.
