14 logistics heroes presented

On June 5 at the transport logistic trade fair, the starting signal was given for the logistics image campaign of the "die Wirtschaftsmacher" initiative. 14 logistics experts from various areas of the industry are giving the campaign of the same name a face as logistics heroes.

The primary goal: to inspire job seekers and junior staff to take on a role in logistics. More than 80 employees from a wide range of areas applied to become logistics heroes. The selection was based on a list of criteria drawn up by the "Wirtschaftsmacher" steering committee. Spokeswoman Heistermann emphasized: "The applications were absolutely overwhelming. Each one is a fantastic example of the diversity and enthusiasm of logistics professionals. We would like to thank them most sincerely for their commitment!"

The applications covered a broad spectrum - from professional drivers, trainee train drivers and forklift drivers to IT experts, logistics experts who supply major sporting events and parcel deliverers, dispatchers and customs experts, they represented the diversity of career opportunities. The logistics heroes are intended to open up new perspectives and present logistics in a tangible way. Frank Huster, Managing Director of the German Freight Forwarding and Logistics Association (DSLV), emphasized at the presentation of the 14 "logistics heroes": "The DSLV supports the campaign in order to present the services of logistics for the global economy to the public and especially to young professionals as part of the joint image campaign."
