Smart Labels

Daniel Schilling,

Battery-free and cloud-based

Faubel has launched battery-free smart labels that work via a cloud application.

Sven Rath, Business Development Manager: "The latest generation of our Smart Labels makes intralogistics processes reliable and secure. No battery means no regular maintenance. Thanks to the cloud application, the software is available at all times."

All e-paper displays are bistable. The permanent display of texts, numbers and codes is based on electrophoresis and does not require an energy source. Faubel develops the software for the smart labels in-house. "Thanks to a cloud app, our customers can always work with the software. The data is automatically backed up on a regular basis," explains Sven Rath. An SAP-ERP interface is also possible. In addition to standardized variants, Faubel offers customized housings from the 3D printer. They can be screwed, glued, attached with magnets or Velcro to the object to be marked in the same way as the standardized versions.
