With the Arcos vehicle software, the Austrian provider DS Automotion enables devices to be used either as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) or Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). The advantages of both technologies are combined with the help of so-called "plannable autonomy"; the user can use autonomous functions specifically where they bring advantages and prevent them where the disadvantages predominate.
