Compact smart camera with PC speed
Cognex Corporation, provider of machine vision systems, has launched a new smart camera. The In-Sight Micro 8000 series is a new family of ultra-compact, standalone vision systems. It offers industry-leading vision performance at PC speed, and it does it all
in the form of a conventional GigE Vision camera for pure image capture. "As line speeds continue to increase, manufacturers are demanding even greater accuracy, larger fields of view and faster performance from vision tools - all without a PC on the shop floor," says Jörg Küchen, Vice President and Business Unit Manager, Vision Products. "By combining the extremely fast frame rates of the In-Sight Micro 8000 series with the high speed of PatMax RedLine pattern matching, our customers can optimize resolution, speed and performance on even the fastest production lines. This allows them to reduce cycle times, increase resolution without loss of throughput or perform additional inspections without increasing cycle times."
