Tackled: 25,000 end walls for trucks per year
They deliver top performance 24 hours a day, five days a week: the systems for powder coating and vehicle painting, as well as the powerful diesel forklift trucks from Mitsubishi Gabelstapler. These are in operation at Kaley Beschichtungstechnik GmbH in Garrel - 40 kilometers south of Oldenburg. Which forklift trucks are used? Kaley relies on the recommendation of Degener Staplertechnik for this decision. Kaley employs 150 people at three locations. The plant in Garell on Koppelweg with 5,800 square meters of hall space was built in 2008. Nine Mitsubishi machines, a reach truck, an electric forklift and no fewer than seven powerful diesel machines are in tireless use to feed the coating systems. As downtimes, even if only to charge batteries, would be extremely unfavorable for Kaley's "just-in-sequence" production, Managing Director Matthias Kaley relies on Mitsubishi diesel forklifts. "Refueling and we can continue, that's important for us in 24-hour operation," says Matthias Kaley. The lifting capacity is also impressive. For example, up to 25,000 end walls for trucks leave Kaley's premises every year. With a weight of 200 kilograms, that's quite a lot.
High mileage
"The machines have a very high mileage per year, so you have to be able to rely on them," adds Stefan Flacke, the responsible account manager at Degener. And indeed, the two oldest of the diesel forklifts have over 16,000 hours on the clock, even if you can't tell by looking at them. "Our employees know how important their machines are and treat them with great care," says Kaley. The fact that production never comes to a standstill is a great strain on the machines, which makes the Managing Director all the more enthusiastic about Degener's customer service.
About Degener Staplertechnik
The dealer agreement between Mitsubishi and Degener Staplertechnik has been in place since 2002. In addition to new forklift trucks, you can also buy used forklift trucks from the Senden-based company or alternatively rent a forklift truck. More than 20 service technicians work for the company and ensure short maintenance and repair times on site. 20,000 individual parts are kept in stock, and the 24-hour spare parts service ensures that spare parts reach the customer the morning after they are ordered.
"No sooner have we called than the parts or the fitters are already here," reports Kaley and praises Artur Rebling in particular, an employee in the warehouse/dispatch/spare parts department at Degener. Kaley and Degener Staplertechnik have been working together since the new building was constructed in 2008. The focus of the business relationship is consulting: "Which machines are particularly suitable for use in our plant? Degener has always found the right answer to this question," says Matthias Kaley, praising the long-standing collaboration.
