The European premiere of Yale Reliant took place at Logimat 2024. Dynamic stability technology is at the heart of Yale Reliant. It adjusts the performance of the forklift or warehouse truck in real time. This helps the driver not to exceed the performance limits. To do this, the travel speed, acceleration, lifting speed or tilt speed are reduced. Any movement that could lead to instability is reduced in intensity or prevented altogether. The operator retains full control. Yale Reliant supports best practice processes with acoustic and visual warnings.

Location-specific rules possible

Proximity detection is performed using local or real-time location technologies with tags on equipment, pedestrians and infrastructure. This enables the detection of forklift trucks, forklift pedestrians and forklift beacons. LIDAR-based technology (Light Detection and Ranging) detects obstacles without markings in the path of travel. Advanced dynamic stability provides advanced traction, hydraulic and overload control. This supports the stability of the truck.

Speed control allows a certain distance to be maintained between the trucks. Location-specific rules can also be defined if required. This can be, for example, limiting the driving speed at the end of an aisle or excluding certain devices from areas with pedestrian traffic. Warehouse managers can also configure the system to restrict driving and lifting functions or reduce speed to avoid stability issues.

More occupational safety in complex environments

"Warehouse environments are often complex. Companies are also under increasing pressure to increase throughput and the number of orders picked. At the same time, the aspect of occupational safety for everyone working in or around the warehouse must not be neglected," says Ron Farr, Director, Warehouse Sales, EMEA at Yale Lift Truck Technologies. "The Yale Reliant driver assistance system is based on more than 29,000 hours of research and development. This gives us the insight and expertise to deliver a scalable solution that addresses the real-world challenges faced by different intralogistics companies."
