International Design Excellence Award
Crown electric pallet truck receives award
Crown, manufacturer of material handling solutions, has once again received an award from the Industrial Designers Society of America. The WP3010 electric pallet truck was honored in the "Commercial & Industrial Products" category.
According to the jury, the forklift truck particularly stood out in terms of product quality and user-friendly design. Over the years, internationally renowned design institutions and associations have presented Crown forklifts with a total of more than 100 awards, including no fewer than 23 IDEA Awards. The WP 3010 has already received the iF Design Award from the iF International Forum Design in spring 2018. "The compact WP 3010 electric pallet truck is a smart solution, especially for a wide range of tasks in the retail, beverage and logistics sectors. As a result, this maneuverable pallet truck stands for faster goods handling and higher productivity at minimal cost. The fact that our work is repeatedly recognized by renowned minds in the design world is an additional incentive to consistently pursue our successful design concept," says Jim Kraimer, Director Industrial Design at Crown. In 2017, Crown expanded its WP 3000 pallet truck series with the 3010, a particularly compact and maneuverable truck. With a tare weight (without battery) of just 279 kilograms, it is particularly light and can be maneuvered in the tightest of spaces thanks to its short front boom dimension of just 500 mm. It has a load capacity of up to 1.6 tons and is designed so that it can be easily accommodated in the remaining space of a fully loaded truck.
