Coating service expanded

The coating of forks and transport equipment offers various advantages: A lot of damage is caused by slipping or vibrating transported goods. Scratched or damaged surfaces on sensitive loads are the order of the day. More and more forklift truck users are therefore opting to coat forks with polyurethane, rubber or GrippFix. Fork manufacturer Vetter has now expanded its coating service.

Vetter has decades of experience in fork coating. The coatings are applied at the Vetter fork factory. What is new is that Vetter is now also offering a mobile coating service for forks and pallet trucks directly at the place of use in cooperation with the forklift specialist trade. The major advantages of the on-site coating service are obvious: coating can be carried out during operation and machine downtime is kept to a minimum. What is completely eliminated is the dismantling and cost-intensive transportation of the forks or lift trucks back and forth to the factory, which is particularly advantageous for subsequent coatings or replacement coatings. The time saved is considerable.

The right coating ensures good results
The optimum coating material is selected individually based on the application conditions. Specific solutions are also possible. For example, two-tone coatings also offer the option for the driver to see how deep he can drive into the pallet based on the colored marking. For the food industry, on the other hand, FDA-certified versions designed to meet local regulations are available.

The Vetter service technicians carry out the work on site. This includes removing old coatings, preparing the surfaces and welding on the collision protection. A coating of polyurethane, rubber or GrippFix is then applied and adapted to the surface to be coated. Once the required drying time has elapsed, the machine is ready for use again.

Vetter also offers an additional benefit: For example, coatings are only applied to forks that have been previously tested by the Vetter service technician, and a crack and wear test is carried out in every case. New forks can also be coated at the Vetter manufacturing plant in the future. The Vetter coating service, whether "ex works" or "on site", is a well thought-out concept with great benefits for the user.
