Central warehouse for industrial trucks and spare parts
Baoli EMEA further expands its service offering
The hub for all services is the Italian municipality of Rolo in Emilia-Romagna. This is where the forklift truck manufacturer, which is part of the KION Group, operates a central warehouse for industrial trucks and spare parts.
Do forklift truck manufacturers that serve the entry-level industrial truck segment only offer poor service? This preconception certainly does not apply to Baoli EMEA, a manufacturer belonging to the KION Group. "In this respect, we differ fundamentally from our market competitors, as we have expanded our range of after-sales solutions very stringently in recent years. To this end, we have set up a central product and spare parts warehouse in Rolo, Italy. On an area of around 14,000 square meters, we permanently keep around 700 to 800 forklifts ready for immediate delivery and also have a very large spare parts warehouse. From there, we can deliver almost any spare part across Europe within 24 hours," explains Christian Bischof, Managing Director BaoIi EMEA.
All vehicles are inspected before delivery
The central warehouse in Rolo is divided into a total of five individual warehouses. Warehouses 3 and 5 permanently store up to 800 ready-to-deliver industrial trucks on an area of around 4,000 square meters. Warehouse 1 includes an area in which all industrial trucks delivered from China are thoroughly tested before delivery to the customer. "This is just one of the many ways in which we differ from other Chinese suppliers. Our competitors generally deliver their trucks directly from China to their customers without any further checks. We, however, check every industrial truck very carefully before it leaves our premises for the customer. In addition, we prepare the documentation for the vehicles - such as the operating instructions - very carefully in the respective national language," explains Francesco Pampuri, Director Brand Management at Baoli EMEA.
A solid and well-structured organization in the EMEA region
This makes Baoli the first Far Eastern manufacturer of industrial trucks that can count on a solid and well-organized structure in the EMEA region. The vehicles stored in Rolo are managed in two shifts. In 2021, around 180 containers were moved at the site - the company expects container volumes to increase by more than 30 percent in 2022.
