ProTect C 8383 platform ladder
The Wangen-based access technology specialist Hymer is expanding its portfolio with the new ProTect C 8383 platform ladder.
Maintenance or assembly work can be carried out safely on the all-round secured and large platform at the top of the ladder, as it ensures safe and ergonomic standing for the entire working period.
Thanks to its tilting castors, the ProTect C is also easy to transport. Once set up, two side folding stabilizers ensure a stable stand. Christian Frei, Sales Manager Access Technology, explains: "Ladders need to be safe and suitable for everyday use, as well as enabling ergonomic working at height - even if it takes longer." With this in mind, the experts developed the new ProTect C 8383 platform ladder, which will be available from September 2023. It enables TRBS-compliant work and therefore has 80 millimeter deep steps in all versions (2 to 6 steps) instead of rungs. They ensure safe access to a large platform (500 x 424 millimetres), which offers enough space to carry out longer or hazardous assembly work safely.
The standing surface is also protected by a surrounding fall guard. This means that employees stand on the platform without falling and have both hands free for any work at height. Even strenuous overhead work can be performed with ease. The platform ladder is stable and stable thanks to two folding stabilizers on the support section. The longest version of the platform ladder weighs 19 kilograms and is easy to transport thanks to its tilting castors. It has no braces on the support section so that it can be set up almost anywhere without any problems.
The versions with storage tray also ensure that tools and small parts are always to hand. The safety and usability of the ProTect C 8383 platform ladder has also been recognized by BG Bau. It complies with all BG Bau funding requirements and is eligible for funding in all sizes.
