New information strategy for access technology at Hymer
Just last year, access technology expert Hymer switched from printed brochures to a complete digital edition. In 2023, the company is moving towards lean, target group-specific PDF brochures that can be flexibly updated as required. These can be accessed in the new download area at hymer-steigtechnik.de. This is closer to the customer and new innovations will find their way onto the market more quickly, according to the company.
"We want to make working on ladders, stairs and platforms as safe and comfortable as possible, which is why we are constantly working on the further development of our access technology solutions," emphasizes Christian Frei, Sales Manager Access Technology at Hymer-Leichtmetallbau. "Feedback from our customers also plays a major role in this; we listen very carefully to what is important to them. We therefore want to share new innovations and advances in development with them directly." An annual main catalog that only appears once a year and is several hundred pages long can no longer meet this requirement. "We are therefore going digital here too and are instead focusing on slim, online PDF brochures that inform our customers specifically about products, areas of application or industries," continues Christian Frei.
From A for "Arctica de-icing platform" to Z for "Accessories"
There are currently 17 flyers and brochures available in the download area on the Hymer website. Customers and interested parties can quickly find the right product for them using the rich illustrations and also receive helpful information. In addition to the listed features and available variants, the brochures also contain, for example, tips on choosing the right ladder, information on how the Hymer Product Finder works and the current version of the Technical Rules for Operational Safety (TRBS).
New year, new R13 models
The latest PDF brochure on the website includes the 8626 stepladder, which should be of particular interest to those working in the industrial and construction sectors. Thanks to a special R13 step coating, it offers a secure footing even when working for long periods in wet or oil-contaminated environments. Further models with this special step coating are set to follow in 2023. Information on this will then be available directly on the website in an updated version of the PDF brochure. "Modern customers inform themselves ad hoc. We want to support this search in the best possible way," says the sales manager. "Our customers now use our product configurator, the modular system and the digital product finder - so why would they want to fall back on analog ways of thinking when it comes to product information? With our constantly updated flyers, we communicate directly to the different markets and buyer groups what is possible with us."
