The Autostore automatic storage and retrieval system enables high storage density and flexibility.
This allows existing buildings to be used more efficiently and reduces the need for new logistics halls. Automation can save energy for heating or cooling and lighting. The Autostore robots consume little energy and recharge themselves regeneratively when slowing down and lowering containers. An average of 100 watts is consumed per operating hour and robot.
Some Autostore customers run their system entirely on self-generated solar power and have been able to reduce their energy costs by up to 85%. The social aspect is also taken into account, as automation eliminates strenuous tasks and long distances for employees in the warehouse. The ergonomic design of the work processes at the port increases employee well-being and the quality of work.
