More efficient energy supply in the warehouse
Concepts for the energy supply of shuttle systems in logistics warehouses with selective charging in the elevator and in charging stations are on the rise - instead of expensive copper cables.
For example, supercap technology and the use of Li-ion batteries. However, there is still potential for optimization in terms of efficiency and performance. New inductive charging solutions such as those from Wiferion promise better capacity utilization and therefore increased productivity. It is not only worth investing in a modern, resource-saving energy solution for large high-bay warehouses and shuttle applications; inductive charging technology is also beneficial for robot-supported small parts warehouses in the e-commerce sector. It is flexible, designed for short charging times and there is no need for a positioning process. As the energy is transmitted without contact, there is also no need for a lowering device. The energy supply at full power starts in <1 second as soon as the shuttle reaches the charging point.
