"With the new building, we are ensuring that we will continue to meet the demands of our customers and the market in the future," said building owner Markus Binder at the foundation stone laying ceremony at the end of March 2019. In the 26-metre-high building complex, planned with a spectacular façade design, Aberle is setting up a fully automated pallet warehouse and a highly dynamic shuttle warehouse for small parts storage in addition to end-to-end pallet and container conveyor technology for efficient intralogistics processes. Both storage systems are to be implemented as built-in storage systems. Modules of Aberle's Process Management System (PMS) will be used for process control and system visualization and will also be connected to the customer's SAP/EWM warehouse management system via interfaces.

Completion planned for summer 2020
The facility is scheduled for completion in summer 2020. The single-aisle pallet warehouse will have around 1,500 pallet spaces for double-deep storage. The storage and retrieval machine installed there will enable 35 pallets to be stored and retrieved per hour. The approximately 30,000 container storage locations in the new 3-aisle automated small parts warehouse (AKL) will be served by a total of 12 shuttles in the first construction phase and will offer a throughput of 450 containers per hour for storage and retrieval. Additional shuttles can be retrofitted to increase performance in the future, so that around 1,200 storage and retrieval operations can be achieved in the future.
