Empty container storage with rail-mounted shuttles
As a manufacturer and full-service provider of intralogistics systems, MFI GmbH is presenting a new type of empty container storage system. This is based on individual channels in which double stacks with a stack height of three meters are stored.
The stacks are transported using rail-mounted channel vehicles, which are moved horizontally in two directions. A significant advantage over the solutions used to date is that they can be used in low room heights and interlocking areas with interfering contours such as columns or supports. Side areas can also be used effectively. A reduction in the electric drives results in a relatively low weight, so that the shuttle buffer can also be placed on platforms and suspended ceilings. The empty container storage system can be optimized, expanded and modified in terms of performance and capacity at low cost. For example, the MFI shuttle system can also be used for filled containers, open or packaged goods, baskets, etc.
