A highlight of the trade fair presentation is the psb pocket sorter system, with which the many advantages of overhead conveyor systems can also be used for buffering and sorting flat-packed goods: modular design, high throughput rates, good accumulation capacity, easy
sequence-accurate sorting as well as spatial mobility. Another focal point is the high-performance rotapick picking system in live operation: the strengths of the solution include outputs of over 1,000 picks per hour, direct pick & pack, buffering of up to 60 source or target containers and sequence-based picking. The latest generation of the vario.sprinter shuttle can also be experienced live. Thanks to its wide range of applications, totes, trays and cartons of various dimensions can be stored up to four-deep. psb will be devoting a separate area to its software expertise, which the company has recently expanded to include SAP EWM through a cooperation with the Mannheim-based software company HPC: from simulation and emulation, via PLC and MFR level, to warehouse management and Scada.
