Route planning and telematics combined
A new cloud solution that combines sophisticated route planning algorithms with a comprehensive telematics system in a particularly user-friendly way in a shared web interface: this is what Ulm-based AIS alfaplan is presenting at Transport Logistic in Munich.
By combining telematics and route planning, incoming collection orders can be integrated live into already planned routes during day-to-day business. In future, users will be able to access the functional scope of route planning, telematics and route optimization via a central user interface. Within a few minutes - or even seconds, depending on the scope of planning - the system calculates the optimum routes for the entire fleet. Once the vehicles have left the depot, users can easily add additional pick-up orders to the daily planning for the first time - taking into account all information generated en route, including live traffic data.
