Digital tool compares automatic and manual storage variants
The automatic or manual storage variant - which is more economical can only be decided on a case-by-case basis; individual requirements make a general answer impossible.
To give customers an initial indication, Unitechnik has developed a digital, anonymous and free tool and offers it online. In the first step, the tool asks for the type of load carrier (containers or pallets) and the number of storage locations required. A complex model uses this information to calculate the basic data for two possible storage variants. An automatic and a manual storage solution are compared on the output screen. The storage parameters displayed show the approximate costs to be expected for both options. The user can now weigh up their investment and personnel costs against each other. The warehouse planning tool serves as an initial orientation and does not replace logistics planning.
