Better planning of orders and tool production with Dualis
UFT Produktion GmbH has opted for the Ganttplan software for its detailed order planning. The APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) from Dualis GmbH IT Solution will in future be the extended arm of those responsible for production planning. UFT uses the Ganttplan detailed planning tool as an add-on
to the abas ERP system, replacing the previous planning tool. In the first step, the Dualis solution is used to plan customer orders and as a production tool, taking into account all planning-relevant data including resources. The company uses it to plan the use of machines and some of the tools. The corresponding planning of production resources and their set-up optimization are aimed at increasing availability and reducing machine downtimes. In a later expansion stage, the company's own toolmaking is also to be planned with the help of APS as a preliminary stage of series production. Furthermore, personnel planning using a Gantt plan is also being considered. Downtimes due to a lack of retooling or unqualified personnel are to be reduced to a minimum, thereby further increasing productivity and machine utilization.
