The two divisions, which together form ABB's Robotics and Factory Automation business unit, are now under one roof. By joining forces, the two divisions aim to create greater synergies in the future and leverage joint potential in order to further advance flexible automation for customers in a wide range of industries.

Together, the two divisions want to bring their innovations in robotics, machine automation, software and service to life for visitors and customers. The current technology center in Friedberg is being redesigned for this purpose. Once completed, current developments, visionary future concepts and industry-specific solutions from the divisions will be on display on around 1,000 square meters, including: collaborative applications with ABB's Gofa and Swifti cobots, scalable and flexible robot cells for manufacturing and logistics as well as innovations in adaptive manufacturing.
