Ident technology

Daniel Schilling,

From sensor to ERP

This time, a complete solution for optimizing intralogistics can be seen at the ifm trade fair stand in a modular approach. With the help of the track-and-trace gate, incoming goods are transferred smoothly and fully automatically to subsequent smart distribution processes. This complete solution is based on RFID technology and ensures networking with IT. Smart Distribution in intralogistics is also supported by the use of AMRs. Image processing solutions, sensors and control technology provide a platform with which autonomous mobile robots can be moved easily and safely within the warehouse. Furthermore, ifm 2D and 3D solutions can be used for robot applications for palletizing and depalletizing.

In many applications, manual workstations are required for packaging, for example. With mate, ifm offers a worker assistance system that is based on the recognition of the human hand. Using an optical 2D/3D camera, it identifies the worker's hands and thus recognizes whether all manual work steps have been carried out in the correct sequence.
