New: HR Summit Logistics & Mobility

Logistics and mobility thrive on their competent employees

Frankfurt am Main, 15.02.2016 - The 1st HR Summit Logistics & Mobility on June 2 in Frankfurt am Main will focus on practical examples of successful HR work. The high-caliber event is aimed at all those with HR responsibility in the logistics and mobility sectors. LT-manager and Materialfluss are media partners.

Fast, global, reliable - the demands on the logistics and mobility sectors are enormous. In order to meet them, companies need suitable, well-qualified and capable employees. However, there is a shortage of skilled workers, there is a lack of young talent and workforces are getting older and older. And all of this is happening against the backdrop of another major challenge: the ongoing digitalization of the world of work. Sustainable HR work is therefore becoming the key to long-term economic success. Intelligent and quickly effective solutions are needed to find, integrate and retain suitable employees - they are the topic of the 1st HR Summit Logistics & Mobility.

The specialist event offers a varied mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions and forums on three topics:

- Human Resources in a new role: Paying salaries, placing advertisements and conducting job interviews? The HR department has long been doing much more. How can it position itself in the company as a business partner of strategic importance and take responsibility for the future?

- Digitalization: Everyday working life is changing. More and more processes are being digitized. This is both an opportunity and a challenge. The participants of the HR Summit discuss: Where does this leave people?

- International specialists: Employees from abroad are a great opportunity that the logistics and mobility sectors are still far from exploiting. What do companies need to do to leverage this potential?

In the themed forums, managers and HR managers will report on how they have mastered the challenges in their companies. Academics and practitioners will add their views on what other options and perspectives are available. Participants will learn about tried-and-tested solutions and discuss whether and how they can be applied to their own situation. Learning together, sharing knowledge and benefiting from the experience of others - that is the credo of the HR Summit Logistics & Mobility. The Frankfurt communications agencies Mainblick and Mandelkern are organizing the event together with the Rhine-Main Demography Network. Cooperation partners are the IHK Frankfurt am Main, the Speditions- und Logistikverband Hessen/Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. (SLV) and the House of Logistics & Mobility (HOLM).
