The forecasts for 2023 are generally not particularly good. What encourages me, however, is that these predictions call on e-commerce to automate. When purchasing power and consumer behavior decline, the focus must be on cost efficiency. And that means automation - it's the big driver in these uncertain and volatile times.

By investing in automation - especially when it comes to packaging - e-commerce companies can prepare themselves for the time after the recession. When the markets recover, things have to move quickly. Don't bury your head in the sand, but think long-term! The first half of 2023 could be tough. For the warm season, however, I expect the situation to ease considerably - after consumer behavior on the back burner, I anticipate rapid growth on the market.
