Green light for the transaction agreed at the beginning of May: the antitrust authorities have approved the takeover of 66 percent of the shares in Quehenberger Logistics by the Geis Group.

"We are delighted that the largest acquisition in our company's history has now been officially completed," say Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis, Managing Partners of the Geis Group. "Now we will really get going and bring our teams together to get to know each other and discuss joint projects."

Combined strength

"Geis is very well positioned in terms of efficiency, quality and sustainability, while we at Quehenberger are very advanced when it comes to digitalization and artificial intelligence," explains Christian Fürstaller, CEO and co-owner of Quehenberger Logistics. "Together, we will now bring together the best of both companies and develop them further."

Geis and Quehenberger now employ a total of around 10,000 people at around 200 locations in 13 countries and generate a turnover of around two billion euros.

"Our customers now have an even stronger logistics partner at their side," say Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis. "Based on this combined strength, we will offer even more comprehensive, excellent logistics solutions."
