Logistics real estate
Panattoni Park Voerde sold to Clarion Partners Europe
Panattoni Park Voerde was acquired by real estate investor Clarion Partners Europe for one of its funds. The logistics park, consisting of two buildings with over 66,000m2 of usable space, was completed in 2023 and is fully let. It impresses with its trimodal transport connections, among other things.
The logistics park is located in an industrial estate in the immediate vicinity of the economic and logistics regions of Duisburg and the Lower Rhine. The tenants are MT Deutschland, the gearbox manufacturer Flender and the logistics service provider WM Group. The park is well connected to the inland ports along the Rhine and is also easily accessible by road and rail. It consists of two logistics halls that can be divided into six units of different sizes.
Realized on a former brownfield site
The installation and completion of a photovoltaic system is planned for the end of 2024. With the expected total electricity production of over 5.8 million kilowatt hours per year (kWh), around 2,300 two-person households can be supplied with green energy from Panattoni Park Voerde. The topic of sustainability was also already a focus during the development of the park: the project was realized on a former brownfield site of around 112,000 m² and is one of the largest revitalizations in the Lower Rhine region.
"With the purchase of Panattoni Park Voerde, Clarion Partners Europe has acquired a centrally located property that is certified to DGNB gold standard, can be handed over fully let and will have one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic systems in the region by the end of the year," says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Germany and Austria, summarizing the benefits of the park.
