City Dock Mannheim South: Handover to beegy GmbH
Panattoni Germany has handed over the new City Dock Mannheim South to beegy GmbH, a subsidiary of MVV Energie AG, at a ceremony. Originally planned as a multi-tenant property, the entire 10,700 m² of the business park will be taken over by the full-service provider for renewable, decentralized energy solutions for private households as a rental property.
beegy GmbH is using the real estate complex in Mannheim as a new solar and heating campus with a logistics and training center. "The location in City Dock Mannheim South offers us ideal conditions to further expand our services in the field of decentralized energy management solutions," explains Kamil Glowatz, Managing Director of beegy GmbH. "With the excellent infrastructure and the flexible use of the space, we can optimally implement our expansion plans."
Silvia Fischer, Head of Private and Commercial Customers at MVV Energie AG, is also delighted with the completion: "The new location will help us to realize our vision of a sustainable energy future. We will not only train and develop our own tradespeople on site, but also serve our heating cooperation partners more efficiently. This will enable us to optimally meet the growing demand for decentralized energy solutions."
Good transport connections and energy-efficient construction
City Dock Mannheim Süd is located in the Neckarau industrial estate on a former brownfield site of around 15,200 m², which has been sustainably revitalized by Panattoni. It is conveniently located on the A6 federal highway and is connected to local public transport. Mannheim city center is only around three kilometers away. The energy-efficient construction of the park is aiming for DGNB gold certification, which meets the high ecological standards of both project developers and tenants.
