"Experience for yourself why Toyota Material Handling received so much positive feedback for its trade fair appearance last year," advertises Jan Lorenz, Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling Germany. Visitors can explore core topics such as innovative sustainability, automation and system integration as well as efficiency-enhancing new product developments with experts and guest speakers on a significantly larger stand area. The new Innovation Camp promises excitement - here customers will gain exclusive insights into the future of intralogistics and learn how Toyota Material Handling will enable even greater efficiency and lower structural costs in customer applications. As a highlight, the training center for cutting-edge technology will present new concepts regarding autonomous devices that score with improved human-machine interaction and machine learning.

Excitement and innovation at the "Innovation Camp"

Toyota's next step towards digitalization will also be presented at the "Innovation Camp": A new customer portal offers Toyota equipment operators access to informative overviews of their fleet, enabling good decision-making based on accurate and accessible telematics data. Among other things, the portal supports cost control, monitoring of charging cycles and use of safety functions and enables optimized procurement of new, used or rental equipment. A powerful update of the existing Toyota fleet management system I_Site will be available in the coming months to coincide with the launch of the portal.

In line with the company's vision of "Zero Muda" (no waste), a prototype will be presented at the Innovation Camp that illustrates the evolutionary use of production materials to increase the recycling rate.

At the heart of the exhibition stand is the "Automation Arena", the playing field on which Team Logistics will be demonstrating an intralogistics relay race. The driverless reach truck BT Reflex Autopilot and the high lift truck BT Staxio Autopilot, in combination with the shuttle systems used in racking systems for high-density and space-saving storage, will demonstrate what modern automation is all about. A new technology for order picking solutions will also be integrated into the automation game.

Concept studies and specialist presentations

Toyota has been using automation in the form of driverless transport systems and software solutions for decades and is consistently developing these further with technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). This is impressively demonstrated by the concept studies in the "Innovation Camp" and the automation game in the "Automation Arena".

The company will also share valuable knowledge: There will be specialist presentations several times a day in the "Coaching Zone". Among others, visitors can look forward to top speakers Hans Larsson, Director Strategic Innovation at Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE), and Marc Maureaux, Senior Sustainability Manager at TMHE. "The logistics industry is changing faster than ever before. In the coming years, there will be numerous new risks, but also opportunities, which will be driven by the ever faster development of key technologies," said Hans Larsson about the content of his keynote speech.
