Ferag: Skyfall technology modernizes adhesive production
The Skyfall system developed by Ferag AG is proving popular in the construction chemicals industry. The Chinese adhesive and sealant manufacturer Zhijiang Silicone Chemicals is now also relying on the energy-efficient conveyor technology for the modernization of its main plant in Hangzhou, whose load carriers are driven only by gravity on downhill sections. The Ferag technology enables a production capacity of 200 cartridges per minute. There will be two Skyfall lines at Zhijiang. Each of the two 100-meter-long circuits is equipped with 800 shuttles or load carriers. The first line feeds the five-head automatic filling machine with empty cartridges, while the second picks up the filled cartridges and transports them to two case packers.
