Witron: State-of-the-art distribution center supplies the food sector
An exciting project for Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH: the logistics general contractor from Parkstein is building a modern, automated distribution center for all sales channels of the Dutch food retailer Hoogvliet in Bleiswijk (South Holland). The Dutch company's strategic goal is to become the "most attractive omnichannel retailer on the market". The distribution center, which will also be home to the Hoogvliet service center, will begin operations in 2020. From the new 72,000 square meter logistics center, Hoogvliet will supply around 100 stores in the Netherlands with goods from the dry goods range, fresh produce, fruit & vegetables, meat products and frozen items. Items from various temperature zones will be stored and picked in the new distribution center in Bleiswijk.
