Mario Neuwirth new COO at TGW Mechanics
On October 1, Mario Neuwirth took over the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at TGW Mechanics. He is responsible for the areas of engineering, production, quality management, purchasing and on-site assembly. With around 1,200 employees, TGW Mechanics is the largest production unit of the internationally active TGW Logistics Group and has production sites in Austria, the USA and China.
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Mario Neuwirth first graduated from the HTL for electrical engineering and then studied economics. He also completed a part-time MBA program in supply chain management and has more than 20 years of management experience at various industrial companies. Before joining TGW, the married father of two worked as Managing Director at a specialist for heavy-duty fittings.
TGW has production sites in Austria, Germany, the USA and China. The Upper Austrian sites in Marchtrenk and Wels are the largest in the international production network. "Energy-efficient conveyor technology systems as well as semi-autonomous shuttle vehicles, stacker cranes and load handling devices are produced there," emphasizes Mario Neuwirth. "The international production network stands for high flexibility and a continuous value chain and thus supports the sustainable growth course of the TGW Group."
