Smart and sustainably efficient plastic boxes
For the first time, Smart-Flow and Gamma-Wopla, manufacturers of plastic boxes and pallets, will be presenting their smart and sustainably efficient packaging solutions for harvesting, transportation and retail at Fruit Logistica 2019 - for freshly harvested fruit and vegetables.
As product highlights, they will be presenting their plastic boxes from the BF series with differently shaped bases specially developed for fruit and vegetable cultivation, as well as the innovative bi-color rotating stack containers from Gamma-Wopla. These are complemented by the plastic containers from the P and RL series, with perforated bases and walls for well-ventilated fruit and vegetables. They are foldable, stackable and available in various sizes.
Thanks to their design, all plastic containers can be stacked on top of each other quickly and stably, making them easy to handle. Whether for soft fruit or leafy vegetables, for dry, juicy, soft or firm types of fruit - there is a suitable container for every requirement to ensure that the goods reach the customer fresh, intact and in top quality.
The intelligently designed plastic containers guarantee sustainable use in many respects. Thanks to their recyclable material and design details, they are permanently reusable, save up to 15% space when folded and stacked, e.g. in trucks, or save up to 40% space in the warehouse thanks to their precise fit. They help to organize handling optimally, saving time and costs. No repackaging is required, there are no disposal costs and the containers are 100% recyclable at the end of their useful life. If desired, the containers can be sold back to Gamma-Wopla, which then upcycles them to produce new plastic pallets for Smart-Flow.
