Ten times higher throughput with Shuttle Rack-M
At the Daifuku stand, interested visitors can view a selection from the system integrator's comprehensive product portfolio: the Shuttle Rack-M, which stores and retrieves containers and cartons particularly dynamically, and the SmartCart Automatic Guided Cart driverless transport system.
Conventional storage and retrieval machines often reach their technical limits when it comes to today's intralogistics requirements - smaller batch sizes, sequential provision and high article volumes. This is why Daifuku developed the Shuttle Rack-M. "We are constantly adapting our solutions to new challenges," reports Thomas Balluff, Branch Manager Factory Automation & Distribution Automation at Daifuku. The Shuttle Rack-M enables precise sequencing and high flexibility in a very dynamic environment. Compared to conventional storage and retrieval machines, the Shuttle Rack-M achieves eight to ten times higher throughputs. Visitors can also find out more about the SmartCart. The driverless transport system can be used both as a tugger train and as a platform vehicle. It is navigated by means of a magnetic belt.
