stow founds stow Robotics unit and acquires Raiser Robotics
stow Robotics will combine all existing warehouse automation solutions for pallets and containers, such as the stow Atlas 2D pallet shuttles launched in 2020, as well as the associated services and teams. The current development pipeline of warehouse automation solutions and software will also be part of the new unit. stow Robotics will be led by the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of the stow Group, Detlef Ganz.
In addition, the stow Group is acquiring a majority stake in Raiser Robotics, which will form part of the new unit. Raiser Robotics is a German start-up company that develops innovative solutions for warehouse automation, such as e.scala
such as e.scala, a three-dimensional, modular storage and retrieval machine for bins and crates, which will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2021. Raiser Robotics will be managed by Rainer Buchmann and renamed stow Robotics GmbH.
The formation of the new entity and the acquisition of Raiser Robotics are supported by The Blackstone Group, the majority shareholder of stow Group. Jos De Vuyst, CEO of stow Group, said: "The creation of stow Robotics is a strategic milestone for our business and will create significant synergies across our warehouse automation portfolio.
