New OL-450S AMR solution from Omron
Omron, a specialist in automation and robotics, presents the new OL-450S: a flat, omnidirectional autonomous mobile robot (AMR) designed to make material handling processes more efficient, safer and smoother.
With an integrated lifting unit, navigation and centralized fleet management, the OL-450S is a complete solution for the automation of material handling in the automotive, semiconductor, electrical, food, household goods, medical and other industries that require speed and flexibility.
Flexible plug-and-play solution
The OL-450S can be used to transport floor rollers, trolleys and other load carriers with a load capacity of up to 450 kilograms and a required lifting height of 108 to 308 millimetres. Thanks to its integrated lifting unit, no adjustments or add-on frames are required, so companies benefit from a plug-and-play solution that is compatible with both standard and customized racks.
Precise navigation and wireless charging for smarter processes
The AMR solution is equipped with a 360-degree safety cover and an omnidirectional drive. This allows the OL-450S to navigate effortlessly through even complex production sites and avoid obstacles. This ensures safe operation when, for example, employees are in the vicinity. Strategically positioned sensors and 360-degree safety coverage improve localization - while its flexible movement - including forward, backward and sideways travel - allows it to adapt to changing operational requirements. With a wireless battery charging concept, the OL-450S offers flexible deployment options, simplified management and uninterrupted workflows.
Central fleet management ensures efficiency
Like all OMRON AMRs, the OL-450S can be managed via Omron's Flow Core software. This centralized platform enables the management of fleets of up to 100 mobile robots with different payloads. The system ensures seamless integration into existing infrastructures, enabling optimized operation and fleet performance.
