DS Automotion: FTS Sally conquers new worlds

DS Automotion presents the possibilities for adapting the compact driverless transport vehicle Sally to different application scenarios. Sally is the new compact class among DS Automotion's automated guided vehicles (AGVs). It makes it possible to dispense with permanently installed conveyor systems. With the Sally AGV, production facilities can be made more adaptable and brought closer to Industry 4.0. "Other small-load AGVs are usually designed for a narrowly defined application," says DI Manfred Hummenberger MBA, Managing Director of DS Automotion GmbH. "Sally can be used optimally in many different scenarios." In future, Sally will be able to deliver cartons or small storage boxes in rack superstructures and keep small parts ready in a rack box or drawer cabinet superstructure. Or facilitate loading and unloading using a robotic arm on board.
