Dematic: Robot colleague picks small packages

Innovative development ideas from the field of robotics are the focus of Dematic GmbH's LogiMAT presentation. Dematic will be presenting its A.R.M. (Automatic Robotic Manipulator) Piece Picking System for small packages weighing up to six kilograms. The solution can be used in a multishuttle and has a robot arm with six degrees of freedom and a 3D camera. There are numerous possible applications within the multishuttle, such as the fully automated and error-free assembly of sets. For the first time, Dematic is presenting a prototype for an automated guided vehicle system (AGV) with a robot superstructure that has been designed for use in order picking: the FlexTruck A.R.M. Case Picking System. The AGV moves autonomously in space thanks to intelligent navigation. Its robotic arm has six axes and can therefore move freely in all directions.
