Getting up close and personal with Schunk's robotic hands: in future, it should be possible to interact with robots or control and set them up in industrial applications and service robotics using only gestures and without programming expertise. IBG has developed an application that makes this possible: the robot is controlled by gestures or speech and calculates its movement in real time. Using a 3D camera, the system can follow the user's hand and arm movements and imitate them 1:1. Schunk's 5-finger hands serve as grippers.
