The company uses Picavi's solutions to handle the logistics of all motorcycle components and merchandising for an internationally renowned motorcycle manufacturer.Neovia, a global logistics service provider, has been working with Picavi's smart glasses since 2019. With the latest expansion of its data glasses fleet, the company is now relying entirely on the hands-free approach of pick-by-vision glasses for order picking. In addition, Neovia has acquired a worldwide site license that will enable the glasses to be used at all Nevovia sites in the future.

Shortly after the implementation phase, the logistics service provider was able to increase its work efficiency by 15 percent. "With the introduction of the pick-by-vision solution, we have seen a significant increase in productivity in our order picking," says Larry Olson, Director Global Business Technology Solutions. "The simple visual guidance saves us up to 60 percent in training time and has helped to significantly improve the accuracy of orders dispatched."

Neovia relies on Picavi Cockpit for the administration of its entire fleet of smart glasses. The business intelligence solution has features for the generation of smart data as well as the administration and maintenance of the pick-by-vision glasses. Among other things, the integrated mobile device management facilitates the training of new employees. The Screen Cast function allows the real-time display of the glasses to be projected onto a monitor or tablet. This allows the trainers to illustrate the work steps even better, especially for new employees. Neovia also uses the Analytics smart data function. Application parameters and KPIs are collected via sensors on the smart glasses and then profitably optimized in the Picavi Cockpit. With the new tool, Neovia was able to identify further optimization potential and is now using the smart data glasses even more efficiently.

Neovia's order for Picavi underlines the ever-increasing demand for the pick-by-vision solution in the North American logistics sector. The German logistics start-up, founded in 2013, already responded to this development last year with the establishment of its US subsidiary Picavi U.S. Inc. As a result, customer-specific support was intensified locally and business development was stepped up from the company's own location in Chicago, Illinois.
