Trends for better ergonomics in order picking
How should companies respond to demographic change and the resulting shortage of skilled workers? And how do the pressures of the working world affect the design of the workplace in intralogistics? At LogiMAT 2016, IWL AG will be demonstrating how companies can take into account

of these issues. Other topics at the stand include robot-assisted order picking, the results of their intralogistics study and projects at Bettenwelt, Stahlgruber and KNV Logistik. Health in the workplace is becoming increasingly important, as the number of older employees has been rising for years. "Work in intralogistics in particular is characterized by extreme physical strain and a high degree of monotony of movement," explains Ralph Ehmann, CEO and founder of IWL AG. Technical aids to improve ergonomics at the workplace pay off for companies in the long term: For example, height-adjustable pallet spaces or work trolleys take the strain off employees. In cooperation with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the Intralogistics Network Baden-Württemberg e.V. and its customers, IWL is looking for ways to effectively reduce strain and make workplaces more attractive.
