PostNord and Stadium Joint Venture modernize e-commerce warehouse
PostNord TPL AB and Stadium Sverige AB are automating their e-commerce warehouse in Norrköping, Sweden, with a customized total solution from SSI Schaefer to meet the growing demands on logistics processes.
As with many Swedish retail companies, Stadium Sverige AB has experienced a strong development in e-commerce. A new logistics solution was needed to meet the resulting increasing demands and take the e-commerce logistics of the entire Stadium family to the next level.
"The solution also enables smaller e-commerce retailers to use an automated logistics system. They can benefit from this without having to invest in their own system," says Magnus Lindskog, Production Manager, PostNord TPL.
The solution will consist of a six-aisle shuttle warehouse with 74,000 storage locations, with aisles 100 meters long and 10 meters high. The system can be used as a flexible platform by different companies that process orders together with PostNord TPL AB.
