Supply chain expertise and real estate solutions
JLL and Miebach Consulting enter into strategic cooperation
Global real estate services provider JLL and Germany-based international supply chain consulting and engineering firm Miebach Consulting are entering into a strategic partnership. This will integrate the expertise of both companies in the areas of real estate, technology, sustainability, supply chain and material flow to deliver end-to-end services from strategy to implementation for clients in the logistics and manufacturing sectors.
JLL and Miebach offer a holistic supply chain solution that also includes the financial component of real estate. This provides customers and the market with a joint offering for the operational and financial challenges of the supply chain, which have been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The use of technology enables a data-driven decision-making process, determines the best locations within the network and promotes more flexible, efficient and customer-oriented supply chains. Companies benefit from JLL and Miebach's expertise in automation, digitalization, building specification and global network optimization for the warehouse of the future.
Guy Gueirard, Head of JLL Supply Chain & Logistics Services, EMEA: "The connection between supply chains and real estate is now more important than ever. The introduction of e-commerce, accelerated by the disruption of brick-and-mortar retail at the height of the pandemic, has put a strain on global supply chain networks. This has also highlighted the importance of logistics and resilient supply chains for key sectors around the world. The collaboration is an important step in strengthening our supply chain growth strategy, which will enable us to design more responsive, technology-driven, flexible and sustainable solutions for our customers."
Jürgen Hess, CEO of Miebach Consulting (pictured): "Omni-channel retail, e-commerce, automation and other drivers are becoming increasingly important in a fundamentally changing logistics landscape. The ability to design and implement effective and dynamic supply chain networks that incorporate adaptable real estate and facilities within flexible employment portfolios, while exploring a range of financial options, will be critical in the future. The collaboration is designed to provide clients with end-to-end advice from a single source to help them accelerate their business growth."
